Come and enjoy a silent film comic masterpiece with live musical accompaniment.
Gideon Freudmann, a versatile cellist and composer, accompanies silent films with his cello, extended technique and some digital effects. He creates palate of sounds that brings new life to this classic art form. His music enhances the story-telling in such a way that audiences sometimes forget that they are hearing a cello. Freudmann has focused on two distinct genres from the silent film era: eerie expressionist films and Buster Keaton’s comedies.

In this silent film masterpiece, Keaton play’s Jonny Grey, an unstoppable hero who is determined the save the train, the south and, of course, the girl!. It showcases his riveting on-screen presence, story-telling, physical prowess an comedic brilliance. "The General" is hailed by critics and filmmakers as one of the greatest films ever made.
