01/09/2026 - Friday Night Music at Dancing Fish - Dadweed
Dadweed Bluegrass Trio
Friday, January 9th, 2026
5:30 - 7:30pm
Returning to Dancing Fish for a third time after stellar upbeat performances with original ‘O Brother Where Art Thou?’ vibes along with their own take, in their incredible style, of some songs you know and love. Dadweed will have you up on your feet, dancing around and enjoying the impressive harmonies and sounds of this great visiting band from Portland. If you didn’t catch them last time, you don’t want to miss it.
Pacific Northwest acoustic trio reimagining pickin' and thumpin' by blending elements of jazz/folk/soul/R&B within a traditional bluegrass lens. Showcasing three-part vocal harmonies and virtuosic instrumentation, Dadweed is redefining what's possible in bluegrass.
"We don’t really have much of a mission statement with our music besides be yourself, listen hard, and have a hoot" - Clayton (guitar/vocals)
From the jump, Dadweed has been eager to start something new within the bluegrass genre, taking a non-traditional approach but always finding ways to pay homage to the roots of the genre. Their live performances are fun and engaging for both lovers of bluegrass and those less familiar with the genre.
Influenced by different generations of bluegrass, from Tony Rice to Billy Strings, all three members are songwriters and have a great ear for serving songs while also leaning into experimentation and the freewheeling exploration of new moments—not only in their original music but also in their arrangements of covers.
Dadweed showcases two guitars and bass, allowing for a lot of interplay and improvisation. With fewer moving parts than other bluegrass lineups, all members being multi-instrumentalists means they can swap out a guitar for a dobro, pedal steel, mandolin, or banjo from time to time.
This event is by reservation only and includes a shared appetizer board served to your table.
Please be aware that due to limited seating capacity in the Dancing Fish Barn, some patrons may be assigned to larger communal tables. Alternatively, if you have friends who are also attending this event, please let us know via text/phone (360-632-4190) or email (info@dancingfishvineyards.com) in advance of the performance so we can seat you at the same table.
